Is It Safe to Leave Fortnite Cheat Software Installed If You're Not Using It?

Something I've been wondering about.

Let's say someone previously downloaded third-party Fortnite cheat software but isn't actively using it anymore.

Does simply closing the program mean there is no longer any risk?

I know people often talk about whether something is running in the background, but does the installation itself matter?

Would appreciate a proper explanation because I keep seeing conflicting advice.

Closing an application and removing its files are not the same thing. But the bigger issue is what Epic actually says in its rules.

I checked the Terms of Service recently. There's a section specifically mentioning that cheats being present on the device used to access Epic products may lead to account suspension or termination.

Wait, even if the software isn't actively being used?

That's what the wording says. It doesn't give you a guarantee that simply closing a program makes it acceptable.

This is why I wouldn't trust random advice saying you're automatically safe as long as you don't press the launch button.

If you're concerned about software on your PC, avoid running it with Epic products and use legitimate software-removal and security tools. Don't follow random instructions to disable anti-cheat.

Honestly, people should read the actual Terms of Service instead of relying on Discord messages from someone claiming they know everything.
