Can You Use Third-Party Software in Fortnite Competitive Tournaments?
Closed thread Closed by archiveQuestion about Fortnite tournaments.
I keep seeing software advertised as working with different game modes, including competitive play.
Does that actually mean it's permitted in tournaments?
I assume product compatibility and tournament eligibility are two completely different things.
Would rather understand the rules before entering competitive events than find out the hard way.
Hardware identifier product details.

Replies are closedCorrect. Something being technically compatible with a game mode doesn't mean Epic allows it.
The distinction is pretty important. A product page can advertise a feature, but Epic's competitive rules are what matter for tournament participation.
I wouldn't trust any seller saying you're automatically safe in tournaments.
Epic's Code of Conduct explicitly says not to cheat or promote known cheats. Its Terms of Service also prohibit cheats.
And it's not just about the tournament itself. Account enforcement can affect access outside that particular competition too.
Exactly. Read the official rules for your event, not just the compatibility list on a third-party product page.
Good thread. People need to stop treating "works in ranked" or "works in tournaments" as proof that something is allowed.
