Fortnite Skin Changer: Does the Outfit Actually Show for Other Players?
Closed thread Closed by archiveQuick question about Fortnite skin changers.
Do they actually change the outfit attached to your Epic account, or is it just something that changes what you see on your own screen?
I've heard completely different answers.
Some people make it sound like you unlock the skin permanently, while others say it's purely cosmetic and local.
I don't want to confuse a visual modification with actually owning something in the locker.
What's the real distinction?

Exactly. Don't confuse seeing a cosmetic with owning it. Your official locker and your local game display aren't automatically the same thing.
So basically, if it isn't actually in your locker, I shouldn't assume other players can see it?
Correct. The visibility depends on how the particular modification works. Don't assume that all skin changers behave identically.
And remember that unauthorized client modifications can create account risks. Epic's rules prohibit cheats and exploits, so cosmetic-only doesn't automatically mean permitted.
This is honestly the most important question to ask before looking at any cosmetic software. Product descriptions should explain the limitations clearly.
